What are your consulting hours?

We are available for appointments Monday-Friday from 9:00AM – 5:00PM. Staff statisticians are available for short (5-10 min) questions on a drop-in basis via Zoom. Links to the Zoom meetings are available on our landing page: http://cscu.cornell.edu.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

You are welcome to schedule an appointment at any stage of the research process. The first part of an appointment typically involves the client explaining to the statistician the research questions and the study design. Then the statistician will discuss appropriate statistical methods and software. Follow-up appointments may be scheduled as necessary.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Feel free to bring anything that will help the consultant understand your research design and statistical questions. This may include a data file, a research article, a presentation, or an abstract of your research proposal.

How much do you charge for contract projects?

Do you help with statistics related coursework?

No, this is beyond the scope of CSCU. However, the Learning Strategies Center provides tutoring for many statistics classes.

Do you provide services for alumni or people outside of Cornell?

No.
